6 Habits of Highly Effective Advisors

      1. Communicate Strategically and Wisely
      2. Move beyond you own story
      3. Get into the Organization's head
      4. Keep calm and carry on.
      5. Take a professional approach to your advisory work
      6. Build relationships with others.

This webinar was interesting and they promised to release a transcript. When I get it I'll post it here.

There were some good questions asked in the chatbox: egI find that expectations related to professionalism for those sharing lived experience perspectives creates barriers to engagement and reinforces the message that service users are at a different power level and must elevate themselves in order to have their knowledge and contributions be seen as valuable. This puts the burden for being "engage-able" on service users. How do we balance power and meet people where they are as their authentic selves?

How do you balance your own mental health care when local services do not respect your need for care and treat you as a colleague rather than a client, and clients treat you as a worker rather than a peer?
