The College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario’s Code of Ethics describes the key principles that help occupational therapists (OTs) to preserve and promote the values of trust and respect which are considered fundamental to good practice. The Code can also be used to help clients, colleagues and members of the public understand our ethical commitments. In addition, these values and principles define professional practice and conduct and form the foundation of the College’s regulations, standards and guidelines, and the regulatory framework for its Complaints, Discipline and Quality Assurance programs.

The proposed amendments contain changes that add more principles of practice to the values of respect and trust.

Before these changes are approved by Council, the College would like to hear from registrants and other stakeholders.

The survey will take less than 10 minutes to complete. The deadline to submit your feedback is midnight Monday, September 14, 2020.
