This course is sometimes required for patient partners in research. It is an online course.

This self-paced course is a media-rich learning experience that features interactive exercises and multi-disciplinary examples. CORE consists of ten modules ranging from Core Principles to (Research Ethics Board) REB Review.

It is designed primarily for the use of researchers and REB members - though anyone may take this course and print their own certificate of completion.

I have completed this course a couple of years ago and found it both interesting and informative. Please post your comments if you take the course.

Alies - I am now taking the TCPS 2 Ethics Course . It is easy to follow and being self pace is great . I am learning much and as I proceed I am grateful that there are guidelines . Many of have participated in research studies and have not been aware of the ethics guidelines . But now knowing theres are guidelines I am even more comfortable participating in research studies .I am only at Mod 4 and look forward to the proceeding forward with the other mods.

        Thanks for the link

It is also, I think, a very good example of how to structure a course of this nature. I might well take it again as there is a need to re-qualify. I presume this means it gets updated regularly.
