I am excited to share this announcement -David Gilbert, author of “The Patient Revolution-How we can heal the healthcare System” is launching a Patient Leadership Newsletter. Based on David’s history i believe this will be a wonderful forum for sharing and learning across the globe. Looking forward to seeing Canadian participation. Details below.
      Donna

      From David:
I’ve decided to launch a Patient Leadership Newsletterto help share learning and provide mutual support for all those working in this field.

The Patient Leadership Newsletter will be a quarterly update on what’s going on in the world of Patient (or ‘lived experience’ or ‘consumer’) Leadership, at local, national and international levels. It will include latest news, summaries of useful resources, feature articles and guest blogs.

It will also include our latest InHealth Associates news, what we’re up to and who we’re working with, our blog posts, notifications of new Patient Leadership training programmes, and much more.

It’s free to sign up, and when you do so, you’ll also receive a free eBook: ‘The Rise of Patient Leadership: Ten articles that paved the way’ - Written over the last seven years, this collection charts a period of radical shifts in the Patient Movement. It brings together the most popular blog posts and articles I’ve written over these years. It is a practical resource that contains several conceptual frameworks that make the emotional labour of patient leadership that much easier.

If you have news or resources to share, please provide a few sentences about the work and a link to the resource.

If you are interested in writing a short feature piece (between 400 and 800 words), please let me know.

      Wishing you all the best

David and all of us at InHealth Associates

David is a very thoughtful patient leader from the UK and his work is worth reading. I have signed up for the Newsletter and look forward to it. I have also read his eBook - a great reference for patient partners seeking to have authentic engagements.
