The Evidence Alliance is funded by CIHR under Canada’s Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) Initiative. They have a mandate to fund patient queries over the life of the funding. Last year they funded 3 patient queries, initiated by patients who are co-leads on the projects. It's worth thinking about submitting a query for your group or passion..

I'm part of a systematic review (a scoping review) query that came from a group I am part of so it doesn't show up as a patient query. I've learned a lot in the process and it's only half done..

The SPOR Evidence Alliance specializes in knowledge synthesis, guidelines, and knowledge translation approaches in gathering demand driven and context sensitive evidence to support policy and practice decisions within health systems.

For a research service request to be considered, it must meet the following criteria:

        1. Request relates to a health topic.
        2. Request concerns an existing or planned health policy or practice decision.
        3. Request must be made by or on behalf of a decision-maker.
        4. Request can be addressed with a knowledge synthesis, guideline development, or knowledge translation approach.

You can submit a request using one of our targeted online forms.

If you are a policy maker, health system manager, guideline developer, and health care provider seeking evidence to inform a health policy or practice decision, please use the policy-maker and health care provider form. If you are patient or member of the public, please use the patient and public form.

One of three. I submitted my patient query as a passion! So fortunate to have found that others indeed share that passion. My "group" organically evolved. It's an awesome experience.

They are funding 10 Patient queries this year and starting to promote it vigourously next month. Hope you all have your thinking caps on.

                  Hi Jeanette
If you go to EvidenceAlliance.ca and click on their menu you will find it under the heading Submit a Query. Maybe urls are a bug right now?

                  I hope that helps.

                  Annette
