For anyone interested in AI in healthcare, I highly recommend Stanford’s AI+Health Conference which takes place on 9-10 December.

      Session tracks include:

      • Clinical AI Applications In Use Today
      • Integrating AI into Healthcare Settings
      • Pioneering Innovations in Health AI
      • Fundamentals of AI in Healthcare

The conference is fully online and scholarships are available. When you click to register, make sure you tick Scholarship as the registration type, and you’ll be ported to the application automatically. Application deadline is 21 November.

If you’re not available to attend on 9-10 December, it’s still worth applying because all sessions are recorded and made available for 3 months to registered participants. Note: they prefer applications with institutional email addresses.

While there’s no specific mention of patient partners on the site, they do accept patient partner applications as I was approved for a scholarship last year and again this year as a patient partner.

The application includes the following questions:

      • Describe any training or professional development you have taken related to AI+HEALTH.
      • Describe one specific example of work you have contributed to in the AI+HEALTH space.
      • Briefly, provide a specific, attainable goal that you commit to working toward in the next year to give back to the AI+Health community.
      • Why are you seeking a scholarship?
