For anyone with a LinkedIn page, they are changing their user agreement. If you don't want your data to be used to train their AI and also Microsoft's, you need to actively opt out. See below for details:

We’re updating our Terms of Service on November 3, 2025. We’re also making changes to the data that we share to our affiliates for ads and improving AI. See what’s new and how you can control our use of your data. Learn more

Starting on November 3, 2025, we’ll also use data from members in your region to improve the content-generating AI that enhances your experience and better connects our members to opportunities. This can help hirers find and reach you more easily, and assist members in creating content such as profile updates, messages, and posts. This could include data like details from your profile and public content you create on LinkedIn; it does not include your private messages.
You can opt out anytime using the Data for Generative AI Improvement setting if you’d prefer not to have your data used in this way. Opting out also means that LinkedIn will not share this member data and content to our affiliate Microsoft for their model training activities. If you’ve already submitted the Data Processing Objection Form, please check your settings to make sure your choice to opt out is shown.
You have choices over how LinkedIn uses your data. Learn more in our Help Center.

Thanks for being part of the LinkedIn community — we’re glad you’re here.

@Alies-Maybee Thanks for the heads-up Alies.
Other American-owned software houses are also starting down this path.

        Keep your eyes open people...!

@Alies-Maybee Since I post about my allergy and pet causes on LinkedIn, I absolutely want my content to be used to train AI.

@Joan-Tu Be aware - not all AI is alike.

Most american AI models use scrapings off of the internet (FB, Google, Twitter) - where hate speech and medical mal-information runs unchecked, unreviewed and gets re-iterated ad nauseum. Mix in your data and your views get diluted, skewed, etc.

            Be careful out there...
