I'm on the planning committee and would urge you to consider attending if you are interested in what's happening in patient and community partnership in health professional education and can get to Vancouver: November 12-15, Wed-Sat. Take a look at the online program, now with abstracts posted. So far, 225 people have registered from 13 countries. There are registration bursaries for patient partners. If you have questions about anything, please contact the conference organizer at registration@housing.ubc.ca
This conference happens only once every ten years: 2005, 2015 and now in 2025. Don't miss it!!

I am attending and will be presenting a poster. I've always been a talker with a script in front of me so this will be an interesting experience!

@Carolyn-Canfield Are patient activists eligible for bursaries or only patient partners?

@Virginia-McIntyre Sadly the fairly restrictive criteria for bursaries means that the pool of eligible patients is likely to be very small.

I still don't understand why they chose to make no virtual option available - particularly since it only happens every ten years - I would have thought they'd be keen to capture as many patient voices as possible. But having queried this with numerous people involved, there's no consistent or plausible rationale. There's still time for them to change course if they truly want patient voices involved - but I doubt that's likely.
