Three Canadian Primary Care research networks are merging to create a non-profit entitled the Canadian Primary Care Research Consortium (CPCRC). The organizations involved are:

      • Canadian Primary Care Research Network (CPCRN)

      • Canadian Primary Care Sentinel Surveillance Network (CPCSSN)

      • Canadian Primary Care Trials Network (CPCTN)

This morning's webinar, the latest in the CPCRN Learning Series, was devoted to detailing the move towards the new non-profit organizational structure and to invite everyone interested to attend six upcoming workshops - see below.

While it's not entirely clear as yet, there may well be significant patient partner opportunities arising out of the merger, so it's worth keeping an eye on.

      • 27 March: Organizational Structure Consultation

      • 31 March: Patients & Community Consultation

      • 31 March: Data & Analytics Consultation

      • 04 April: Research & Clinical Trials Consultation

      • 10 April: Practice-Based Research & Learning Networks Consultation

      • 10 April: Training & Capacity Building Consultation

@Chris-Johnston thanks for sharing highlights as I missed this . Thrilled to hear Primary care researchers are thinking across areas and being bold -eliminating organizations in the interests of stronger impact -thats a first . A single group eliminates overlap, and duplication . look forward to learning more .

@Donna-Rubenstein update - I attended the Community -Patient Partner consultation session . well organized and structured for participation by everyone (breakout rooms) - questions focused on what are ideal characteristics for this new group . good discussion ; I look forward to learning more about the organizations goals and areas of work envisioned.
correction to earlier post- this is not replacing other networks , more of a network of networks .
