Following up on @Annette-McKinnon's post about patients as peer reviewers for journals, I've been keeping my eyes peeled for resources and just stumbled across a template at BMJ that might be useful.

Step-by-step guide to peer review: a template for patients and novice reviewers (2021)

If anyone has any other resources or links they can share for patients as peer reviewers, please post them in this thread 🙂

I was one of the collaborators that worked on this Peer Review Course, see below.

The creation of this course was a collaborative effort between the Kidney Foundation of Canada, the Can-SOLVE CKD Network, the Canadian Nephrology Trials Network and the Canadian Donation and Transplantation Research Program with funding generously provided by the Kidney Foundation of Canada through the Kidney Research Scientist Core Education and National Training (KRESCENT) program.

This is an excellent open-access article for anyone reviewing papers that involve AI. Actually it’s more than that, since it offers a quick read primer on AI, a glossary of AI terms, a 10 question checklist and an inventory of other approaches - it’s definitely worth checking out:
