PAN CIHR SPOR Refresh - Your thoughts

Canada’s Strategy for Patient-Oriented Research (SPOR) , a program run by the Canadian Institute for Health Research (CIHR), is being refreshed.

The Patient Advisors Network (PAN) was asked by CIHR to contribute to this process. We have spent the last few months asking the wider patient/caregiver partner community to share their thoughts and their experiences through surveys and focus groups.

We want to make sure we hear from as many patient/caregiver voices as possible. Please provide us with your thoughts about what we see for the future of research in Canada including the growing impact of patient/caregiver partners on the process.

The questions:

1. What areas do we want research to focus on based on issues we are facing now and in the future?

2. What role should patient/caregiver partners have in health research at the national, regional/provincial and research network levels?
