Report: Roadmap for Reform - some ideas for change

I think we all know our health system is in crisis. With crisis is an opportunity for change and many of the best and brightest minds are pushing for the changes they see we need. This report highlights some key ones for immediate implementation:

• a) Team-based health service models

• b) Expanding scopes of practice (or who does what)

• c) Changed models of professional recompense (or how people are paid like Fee for Service) and institutional funding (or follow the money)

• d) Regional health bodies with global budgets

They have other longer term changes to suggest as well. This is worth the read as we patient/caregiver partners work to make some of these changes.
