I take exception to what ChatGPT says about Patient Partnership, and I think it suggests we have a lot of work to do to define Patient Partnership.

ChatGPT says this in answering a question to discuss patient advocacy vs patient partnership
"Patient partnership, on the other hand, refers to a collaborative relationship between patients, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders in the healthcare system. In a patient partnership model, patients are seen as active partners in their own care, with valuable insights and perspectives that can help to improve the quality of care. Patient partnership often involves working with patients to co-design care plans, involving patients in decision-making, and empowering patients to take an active role in their own health."

I'd say Two models of partnership - one is working with professionals for your own health improvement and goals, one with professionals to improve the health care system and research at a higher level - to have an influence on changes .

So if the language around partnership is so unclear that a 'large language model' gets it wrong with its mountain of data we'll have to keep working to clarify and to get this into print.
      What do you think?

@Annette-McKinnon Two things: first, yes, we need to define patient partnership better. The terms are evolving which is also going to confuse ChatGPT. We are moving to Patient and Caregiver Partners (PCPs) which more accurately reflects who we are.

Second, AI is moving rapidly and the attention in the press is gaining momentum. We, as PCPs need to keep up with it certainly as far as it is employed in healthcare. There are huge advantages ... but there can be downsides we need to be aware of like built in bias, unconscious or not.
