      Looking for advice.

NNS health authority is excluding employees as patient advisors. As someone who lives with chronic pain I spend a lot of time at appointments and in the health care system. I have seen what needs to be done to make things better.

I am sitting on one committee with NSHA but if the senior management get wind of this I may be asked to leave. The other two the committee will do anything asked of them but will not challenge their thinking and have not experienced the difficult events I have to give feed back. No one else has the dedication and commitment as I do.

I know I am valuable ,especially regarding chronic pain. Having a Self-management support group provides me with a lot of input from those living with pain. I was absent from work for 3 years. I am still an constant user of the healthcare system. What can I do ?

Any thoughts on how I secure my position?
