      First post here, looking for some help.

      I'm the Lived Experience Partner on the Quality Standard Advisory Committee on Surgical Site Infections.

      We have draft statements and are starting on our dissemination plan. I don't have experience on where or how to share this type of Quality Standard with Patients & Family Caregivers and I was looking if any member has had experience with this. The team at Ontario Health I am working with is excellent, but I'd like to try and contribute some ideas as well.

      Any assistance is appreciated - thank you!

      Megan

        Hi Megan

        You could post it here on the PAN site. We could tweet about it too.

        Another idea is looking for patient groups and asking them to put it in their newsletters though that might be to scattered for Ontaio alone..
        There's the Ontario Caregivers Association. St Elizabeth has a group called Wiser Advisers. Baycrest has a program called LEAP aimed at older adults who are often patient and family caregivers.

        There's a group called Concernd Friends [https://concernedfriends.ca/advocacy/](link url) They used to called Friends of LTC. A lot of their members would be caregivers.

            @Megan-Graham
            I asked the question below on Twitter and asked for more ideas. I got a few answers for more info about ageism. It's not your first intent but may connect since so many caregivers take care of older friends and relatives.

            Do you know of strategies, initiatives, or programs in Canada that are trying to prevent or address ageism?

            The SGBA (Sex & gender based analysis) Program at Women's College Hospital in Toronto

            @CIHR_IRSC attention to sex, age and gender in research funding

            Moira Ketchum Teed
            @KetchyMoira
            @anetto and @CIHR_IRSC
            Specifically: Canadians Against Ageism - “A comprehensive Canada-wide project to combat ageism against older people, while strengthening, protecting, and promoting their human rights. ILC-Canada will lead this project in partnership with …” more here: https://www.ilccanada.org/
            and here https://eapon.ca/virtualconference2022/

            and the gov't has a consultation where you can put your thoughts and results forward: "A consultation to understand and address the negative impacts of ageism towards older adults in Canada.
            Many ways to participate including questionnaire. Share your thoughts and experience"
