All: Jeff Nesbitt, CEO and Registrar for the Canadian College for Health Information Management has very kindly offered the PAN Community the opportunity to join his group in viewing this important film at no cost.
Learn more https://gregswings.ca/fttc-gregsstory/ about this short film created by Greg's family about his journey through the healthcare system and how it failed him in spite of the people. It is a good example of system failure and well told. I have seen it and found the telling of a story through film is powerful and in this case a great tool for discussion.

I've seen this film 3 x's. Imagine Citizens Network where I volunteer in Alberta, is lucky to have an affiliation with the Price family who were key founders in our organization. Greg's father and sisters have been very active in the citizen/patient engagement world. This film is VERY true to their experience and the family helped shape the script/filming every step of the way. Falling through the Cracks: Greg's Story is an excellent learning tool, especially for medical students and learners at all stages of their careers. I highly recommend if you've not seen it, to take this opportunity to view and consider the many unforgettable lessons.

It touched me deeply when I saw it a few years ago. In a very recent advisory committee meeting with a local health centre on the topic of telehealth/ communication I brought up again the issue of the fax, waiting, Ex. Why is still going on?. Even when there is a will, as evidenced by management, lots of competing factors and obstacles slow down the journey toward change. If only healthcare were run like Amazon. Invest, streamline where necessary, incentivize. Make it turn-key.
