Hello everyone,

For those of you that caught the AI Scribes presentation on September 30, 2026 – as promised – this is the place to ask questions about AI Scribes. Through these conversations we will learn from each other and hope to provide as much information as we can to PAN's members.

At this time, we will not be sharing the slide deck nor the recording outside of PAN, as both contain intellectual property. Also, the data collection for the survey is still not complete. We encourage you to take the survey after each visit with a clinician that uses an AI Scribe; until the end of the year. Once the report is produced in the new year, we will have further findings to share with you.

Please take the survey after every clinical visit. Yes - even if your doctor/nurse practitioner/OT/therapist does not use an AI Scribe. Ask them for the reason they avoid them (we're finding out some interesting answers).

FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions

How does an AI Scribe work?
Basically, the application makes a recording of the conversation between you and your doctor, and stores the audio file. Next, it goes to work on the audio file to produce a text file - which is called the transcript. Whether the AI Scribe produces a “clinical note” out of the transcript – depends on the AI Scribe having such a function.
