Moving women's health research into clinical practice or policy changes is not a simple or linear process. Once evidence has been generated, the next challenge is ensuring it is adopted, implemented and sustained in real-world settings. This requires collaboration among researchers, clinicians, patients, communities, decision-makers and other knowledge users. This KEystone Conversation will explore the opportunities, challenges and responsibilities involved in translating women's health research beyond the lab and into practice. Participants will reflect on how evidence is generated, interpreted, prioritized, communicated and ultimately implemented to inform action.

Through a panel discussion followed by lightly facilitated breakout conversations, participants will explore what helps or hinders the evidence uptake, how researchers can better engage with clinicians, and how we can build stronger pathways between research and care.

The discussion will consider practical questions around the realities of integrating new knowledge into health care environments, from evidence communication and clinical implementation to the partnerships needed to support uptake. The conversation will also examine how to determine when research is ready for practice and what effective implementation requires: the right evidence, at the right time, in the right context.

About the series: KEystone Conversations is a new knowledge exchange (KE) series convened by the Pan-Canadian Women's Health Coalition (PCWHC) to bring together researchers and partners working across the women's health landscape. These informal sessions are designed to create a welcoming space for open dialogue and mutual learning. Each conversation will be lightly facilitated to encourage discussion while remaining flexible to the needs and interests of the group. By fostering peer learning and strengthening relationships across networks, KEystone Conversations aims to spark collaboration and support the development of future partnerships in women's health research.
