Technology is rapidly transforming health care, and everyone should benefit. This isn’t just about code – it’s about power, access, and ensuring AI helps to remove barriers in health.

The NAACP Center for Health Equity, in partnership with Sanofi, launched a Health AI Task Force to demand that AI and emerging technologies are used in inclusive ways to promote and support health equity, rather than undermine it. Led by Dr. Craig Watkins, Executive Director of the IC2 Institute at the University of Texas at Austin, the Task Force published a groundbreaking White Paper that highlights the promises of Health AI and calls for intentional design and governance to ensure these technologies embed bold equity principles. Building a Healthier Future focuses on some of the critical challenges and opportunities that are emerging as AI evolves and will play an ever-increasing role in health care.
