      CHIMA has developed a course on "Understanding Health Data in Canada".

      Did you know that 57% of people living in Canada are either somewhat or not at all familiar with the term ‘health data’? (Earnscliffe Strategy Group, 2023)

      Who Should Take the Course?
      Anyone and everyone! If you want to learn more about health data in a quick and easy way, this is for you! The great news is, you don’t need to be an expert to understand this training as it is designed for everyone whether you’re new to the topic or just looking to learn more!

      Why Should You Take the Course?
      Canadians have the right to access health information that is easy to understand, empowering them to make informed decisions. Have you ever wondered how your health data can help improve the well-being of others? This resource offers valuable insights into how health data is gathered, used, and shared to benefit the health of your family, friends, and all Canadians.

      See link to course. https://healthinfocanada.ca/membership/data-literacy/

        @Sandra-Holdsworth this is a good course for P/CPs who want to dive deeply into health data in Canada.

            @Alies-Maybee @Sandra-Holdsworth

            I finished the modules - what an incredible resource!

            Anyone who uses the healthcare system, needs to be aware that this exists. Right now, it is buried in a CHIMA webpage... no one can find it.

            @Alies-Maybee Have you thought about a 'general Canadian public' web presence advertising this Data Literacy link?

                @Debra-Turnbull I just spent time yesterday at the CHIMA summit. We have been talking about what to do with this resource so I am so glad to here you thought it worthwhile. I think for our community it is a good resource. We'll talk!

                  @Alies-Maybee I envision this as being one component in the Digital Health Literacy ecosystem.
