Found this a very encouraging read on the evolving role of patient partners in healthcare education -
From Fringe to Core: Speaking Out About Our Evolving Role as Patient Partners in the PARTENAIRES Interprofessional Education Programme

My own experiences are mixed - but I remain hopeful!

@Chris-Johnston I have not had an opportunity to do this but would like to when speaking to research trainees I speak to them about the importance of Patient Partnerships and Engagement. I have had an opportunity to speak to medical students regarding organ and tissue donation and it's important especially for those who don't work in ICU or ER.

Oh my, l'Université de Montréal! That's! interesting! The Québec government has had such a top-down approach to healthcare... which explained the absence of patient partners. So now, one of the med schools is stepping up. Change is happening; exciting times!
