Amy, this is a great op ed and very timely! It is such a good illustration of how people like yourself can become more aware of the opiode crisis and learn how to mitigate the risk of becoming addicted.

I am dismayed at the cavalier attitude of the professionals who were ready to give opiods as their first option in the face of all the media coverage about this crisis.
