Webinar hosted by the Institute for Patient and Family Centred Care (IPFC)
Dec 14th noon -1 pm ET
Patient and Family Advisory Councils (PFACs) have a long history in children’s hospitals in the U.S. Until recently, there had been no national research about this important approach for engaging patients and families as partners in change and improvement. In 2020 and 2021, IPFCC conducted a study exploring the prevalence and characteristics of PFACs in children’s hospitals as well as factors contributing to their effectiveness. The study also incorporated questions about how PFACs were impacted by COVID-19. During the upcoming webinar, IPFCC project staff and members of the National Project Advisory Committee will:
Present findings from the national study;Summarize how PFACs adapted and responded to the pandemic;Introduce a new resource document with guidance about strengthening partnerships with patients and families. Whether you have a well-established PFAC or are in the process of developing or expanding one, be the first to hear this new and important information! Join us for the webinar and strengthen the future of PFACs and PFAs in your organization! The study and the webinar are supported by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, Palo Alto, CA
