Many of us get requests to review research papers in our areas of interest, such as Patient Engagement, our specific health issues, and any other topic we may inform them that we have an interest in.

Every time I agree to review I learn a lot, though I will admit that the first time I was very intimidated.

If I choose not to participate, there is an opportunity to suggest other people who might be interested in reviewing. There are some resources that would help people to learn how to do reviews well. The BMJ in particular has good guidelines, and most of the journals have their own guidelines.

Naturally I refer people whose interests I am aware of, but I would be happy to add names of other PAN members who may want to do reviews.

Any ideas on how this could work out?

If interested parties provide their name and e-mail address, I can submit the names. My e-mail address is suzannedeliscar@yahoo.ca if sending information via e-mail rather than posting is preferred.

I would also be interested in attending a webinar if patients have tips to share about reviewing or would like to discuss challenges or questions related to it.

I've been reading and commenting on papers pulled for lit reviews on a couple of projects recently - so not the same as reviewing for journals, but would love to learn more and give it a try!
Definitely think it's a good webinar topic!

Maybe this is something that PAN could collaborate with researchers that we know, indicating that we might have members that are interested, then we would do a scope of our members to find out who is interested do you think this would make a good webinar?
